Taking a Holistic Approach
In order to create an inclusive environment that invites, values and leverages different perspectives and backgrounds, we have developed a comprehensive strategy that aims to elevate inclusion and belonging, and empower team members to thrive throughout the organization. At QVC, we strive to be a great place to work for all, and our holistic approach to embed inclusion into the fabric of our organization helps us realize that aspiration. Our strategy maps out our four strategic pillars:
Our Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs) are voluntary, company-sponsored, team member-run groups that serve as culture and business catalysts. They share common interests aligned with our QVC business objectives and advancing a culture of belonging for all.
TMRGs around the world continue to deliver creative, engaging, and inspiring programs, led by a passionate and dedicated group of volunteer leaders. In recognition of heritage months and days of observance, our TMRGs host keynote speakers, panel discussions with team members and vendor partners, cultural celebrations, and encourage team members to join in supporting non-profit organizations advancing causes that matter to their community.
Each TMRG is open to all team members, including those who identify as members of a particular community and those who are interested or want to learn more and/or be allies.
Mike George, President and CEO, Qurate Retail, Inc., has signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion, the largest CEO-driven pledge to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. More than 1,600 CEOs, representing leading companies and organizations worldwide, have signed the pledge and are using their collective voices to promote meaningful change on this important issue.
Civic Alliance is a non-partisan group of businesses working together to build a future where everyone participates in shaping our country. Our CEO signed the 100% In for Democracy initiative from Civic Alliance in 2020 calling for safe access to the polls for all voters to ensure every American has a voice in our democracy.
February 2, 2021: As part of our Small Business Spotlight program this month, 20 Black-owned businesses have access to QVC’s, HSN’s, and Zulily’s platforms.
January 8, 2021: QVC Group team members mentored 16 small business owners across the country.
December 14, 2020: Leslie Ferraro, President of QxH, shared thoughts on leadership at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women, a 100% virtual event held in November.
November 30, 2020: This summer, 39 QVC Group team members volunteered to mentor women leaders at 15 small artisan businesses 100% virtually.
