Bob Spieth to Retire as QVC Group’s Chief Operations Officer
April 27, 2020: Bob Spieth, who leads QVC Group’s Global Operations team, will retire in May 2020 after more than seven years of invaluable leadership across multiple brands and markets. Bob will continue to lead Operations until his retirement date.
“We thank Bob for his leadership and invaluable contributions to Qurate Retail, and wish him all the best as he begins his next chapter,” said Mike George, President and CEO of Qurate Retail, Inc. “Bob had a great passion for driving continuous improvement, from maximizing our systems, to processes, to developing our talent. All of his efforts have helped us continue to innovate how we serve our customers around the world.”
Bob joined Zulily in 2013 where he built out their supply chain, customer service, and studio operations capabilities, developed a strong leadership team, and put a refreshed focus on technology to drive significant savings and improvements in service. In the fall of 2016, he assumed leadership of the Operations function for QVC and Zulily. His responsibilities were ultimately expanded enterprise-wide, after successfully integrating key Operations functions across Qurate Retail and our brands.
Qurate Retail is committed to maintaining our momentum of leveraging our global operating synergies, networks and best practices, while also ensuring that we are delivering the best products and experience within each of our markets and brands. To that end, we have worked with Bob to assemble a strong team of Operations leaders, who are ready to carry his work forward and drive our efforts to deliver joyful customer service.
