Inspiring Women to Dream, Dare, Do at Pennsylvania Conference for Women
QVC Group was proud to co-chair the 2018 Pennsylvania Conference for Women on October 12. QVC has been a corporate sponsor of the conference since 2013. This year QVC along with the broader QVC Group expanded its involvement in the conference as part of its ongoing commitment to championing women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment.
“Over the years, QVC Group has helped many female business owners and leaders thrive, and in turn, these women have helped evolve our shopping platforms and customers’ experiences,” said Karen Etzkorn, CIO for QVC Group. “This conference was an opportunity to celebrate these women – and encourage thousands more to dream, dare and do.”
Karen was a panelist in a conference breakout session titled “How Women Rise: Taking the Next Step in Your Career” and introduced Governor Tom Wolf during the keynote luncheon.
zulily’s Director of Brand and Communications, Andrea Conrad, also participated on a panel as an emcee. The panel, “Innovation Quotient: Making Your Mighty Idea a Reality”, was geared towards millennials and new professionals entering the workforce.
Conference attendees were invited to visit QVC Group’s interactive booth experience featuring female entrepreneurs and the inspiring stories behind their brands. Attendees also had the opportunity to share a personal #dreamdaredo message and have a photo taken to share on their social as part of QVC Group’s digital mosaic wall.
